The disinfecting cap contains a pre-saturated 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) medium within a single-use cap housing designed to fit standard needle-free connectors. The IPA concentration is selected to provide rapid surface disinfection while being compatible with common connector materials. Housing materials are medical-grade and latex-free. Each cap is individually sealed to maintain reagent integrity until first use.
The cap is engineered for straightforward application to Luer-compatible needle-free sites and features a closure that maintains contact between the IPA pad and the connector surface. Caps are supplied in sterile-ready packaging and boxed for institutional stocking. Labels include lot and expiry information to support inventory control and QA checks upon receipt.
70% IPA disinfecting caps are used for routine connector disinfection prior to syringe access in infusion therapy and medication administration. They provide a standardised, single-use disinfectant application that aids nursing workflows and reduces contamination risk at bedside. Procurement teams select these caps for wards, ICUs, and procedural areas where consistent surface disinfection practices are required.
Packaging includes lot and expiry marking to support receiving checks and inventory rotation. Batch identifiers support QA processes when documentation is requested at quotation. Caps are packed to preserve IPA saturation and to maintain efficacy until the stated expiry date.
